An unexpected gift of being stranded at the airport was coming across some AMAZING art pieces--who would have thought--at an airport?

I love when art peaks my curiosity, uses a diverse medium, and stirs my emotions from the inside out.

The modality of the piece above is called quilling, an art form that uses tightly rolled strips of paper and the gilded edges of old books. It was first practiced by Renaissance nuns and monks who are said to have made artistic use of the edges of worn-out bibles. The practice took off in popularity during the 18th century.

We humans are so creative!

Just when I was loosing hope, inspiration!
