Yesterday I was craving a quick snack before heading out on the road and having just gotten fresh blueberries from our farm share I had an idea:

  • 1 fair trade banana
  • 2 hands filled with  blueberry heaven
  • 2 dates
  • a tablespoon of peanut butter
  • 1 cup of water (add more or less depending how thick you like it).
  • To garnish two tea spoons of goji berries and a sprinkle of cinnamon.

Quick, simple, and easy! On some days a tablespoon of green powder adds another bit of pizazz.

Why all of these lovely friends together?

Bananas have potassium which supports bone health, blues are full of antioxidants to aid eye health, nerve protection, and better blood fat levels.

Peanut butter and cinnamon help with blood sugar maintenance and goji berries help the body adapt to distress.
