When it gets warm outside one of my favorite flavored drinks is a cool mint lemonade. Its easy to prepare and will be a hit with most guests.

In a blender place

  • 6 cups of water
  • 1-2 cups lemon juice
  • 1/2 a cup of mint
  • 1/4 cup of maple syrup

Although frigid drinks are not usually recommended--as they tend to impact the digestive tract negatively--if you need an added dose of cold add some ice.

Blend and adjust the flavor to your liking. The mint will get blended very small, so either leave it or after letting the mixture sit for 30min or so strain the mint out.

In addition to simply tasting yummy a mint lemonade packs a nutrient punch.

Lemons are high in vitamin C for immunity, maple syrup has beneficial antioxidants, and mint is a wonderful digestive aid and helps ease nausea.
